ANCC is excited to present the 2017 Research Symposium to be held in conjunction with the ANCC National Magnet Conference®. The purpose of this symposium is to provide advanced and skill-building sessions focused on establishing and expanding a Magnet research agenda in health care organizations.


Opening Keynote: Christopher R. Friese, PhD, RN, AOCN®, FAAN

Dr. Christopher Friese is a Professor in the Department of Systems, Populations, and Leadership at the University of Michigan School of Nursing. His program of research is focused on understanding and improving health care delivery in high-risk settings, such as oncology units. He lectures widely on evidence-based oncology nursing practice, the nursing workforce, and health care policy. Dr. Friese continues to practice clinically as a staff nurse in medical oncology, hematological malignancies, and stem cell transplantation.
